Corporate bonds maturing in 2024 estimated at $8.6bln
Real estate sector accounts for 59.3% of total.
Corporate bonds totaling VND207 trillion ($8.6 billion) are set to mature this year, down 3 per cent year-on-year, according to the VnDirect Securities Company.
Of the total, real estate companies account for 59.3 per cent, followed by the banking and finance sector with 29.2 per cent.
Compared to 2023, the redemption value of real estate bonds is up 23.7 per cent and banking and finance 69 per cent.
Figures from VnDirect show that there were 166 successful corporate bond issuances in the fourth quarter of 2023 worth a total of over VND146.2 trillion ($6 billion), up 22.3 per cent compared to the previous quarter and an eight-fold increase year-on-year.
It expects that the corporate bond market will recover from the end of 2024.
