NA convenes extra-ordinary meeting on personnel affairs

The National Assembly (NA) Standing Committee has decided to hold the NA's third extra-ordinary meeting in the 15th-tenure to consider personnel affairs under its authority.

The meeting is scheduled to take place on the afternoon of January 18 in Hanoi.

The decision is pursuant to the Constitution of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the revised Law on the Organization of the NA, and NA session regulations issued in NA Resolution No. 102/2015/QH13 dated November 24, 2015, said NA Secretary General and Chairman of the NA Office Bui Van Cuong.

Earlier, on January 17, the 13th Party Central Committee approved State President Nguyen Xuan Phuc’s proposal to resign from all positions and retire.
