State Audit of Vietnam (SAV) has proposed resolving financial issues involving nearly VND56 trillion ($2.35 billion) after auditing 154 reports in 2022.

This includes additional revenue of more than VND3 trillion ($126 million) to the State budget; reduced State budget expenditure of VND25.6 trillion ($1.075 billion); and others totaling over $27.1 trillion ($1.13 billion).

At a meeting held to review tasks in 2022 and set missions for 2023, the SAV said audits in 2022 focused on major fields relating to State budget management and areas prone to corruption, waste, and problems of public concern.

It also proposed deleting, amending, or supplementing 243 inappropriate legal documents.
