2,000 SMEs in HCM City to get digital transformation support
The city targets to increase the usage of digital platforms by SMEs to a minimum of 60% by 2025.
Some 2,000 small- and medium-enterprises (SMEs) in Ho Chi Minh City will get support in digital transformation through 2025.
The plan is aimed at creating new values for enterprises while contributing to boosting the city’s socio-economic development, according to Director of the municipal Department of Information and Communications Lam Dinh Thang.
Ho Chi Minh City is rapidly advancing its digital economy, aiming for its 22% contribution to the city's GRDP in 2024, rising to 25% in 2025 and ultimately reaching 40% by 2030.
The city is also prioritizing digital transformation in key sectors such as education, healthcare, tourism, and social security.
“The city will provide financial aid, consultancy and solutions for enterprises, organizations, cooperatives and household businesses to conduct digital transformation,” Mr. Thang said.
HCM City targets all SMEs in the city will have access to digital transformation platforms and increase the usage of digital platforms by SMEs to a minimum of 60% by 2025.
