The project boasts a total investment of nearly $164 million and will cover an area of 10.5 ha.
Aeon Mall Vietnam Co., Ltd. has held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Aeon Mall Thanh Hoa shopping center in central Thanh Hoa province.
This development will be the largest shopping mall in Central Vietnam, with a projected opening in the second half of 2026.
The project boasts a total investment of nearly VND4.2 trillion (nearly $164 million) and will cover an area of 10.5 ha. Phase 1 will see the completion of a five-story shopping mall with one basement level.
Mr. Isobe Daisuke, Overseas Business Manager and Director, Aeon Mall Co., Ltd., stated that this is the largest land-use project among the company's ventures in Vietnam.
The design features a modern, multi-functional shopping center with a comprehensive range of services, including various types of shops, service areas, a hall, meeting rooms, office space for rent, food and beverage services, children’s play areas, retail stalls, and a supermarket.
Addressing the groundbreaking ceremony on December 9, Mr. Do Minh Tuan, Chairman of the Thanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee, affirmed that the success of the Aeon Mall Thanh Hoa shopping center project will serve as a catalyst for the province to attract more large-scale investors from Japan and other countries.
“This will encourage further investment, production, and business activities, significantly contributing to the development of the locality,” he said.
