Nearly 1,000 products from 30 cities and provinces nationwide are being showcased at a trade fair that opened in Ho Chi Minh City on February 3 as Tet (the Lunar New Year) approaches.

Lasting until February 6, the trade fair introduces a wide range of products for consumers during the biggest holiday of the year, including fruit and vegetables, confectionary, and food and beverages.

Many of them are products in the “One commune, One product” (OCOP) program that are certified at between 3 and 5 stars for their quality, such as coffee from the central highlands’ Dak Lak province and tea from Mekong Delta’s An Giang province and Can Tho city.

The annual trade fair helps connect startups and traditional craft villages to promote products.

The fair drew the participation of some 50 businesses.
