Construction of the Quang Da Bridge connecting central Da Nang city and neighboring Quang Nam province is expected to get underway in December, according to the Da Nang Department of Planning and Investment.

The two localities have completed investment procedures and will soon organize bidding to select contractors.

Quang Da Bridge spans the Yen River, linking Hoa Vang district in Da Nang with Dien Ban town in Quang Nam province, and will help boost traffic connections in the region and spur socio-economic development in both localities.

The project has total investment capital of VND274 billion ($11.4 million), earmarked from Da Nang city’s budget.

The bridge and its approach roads have a total length of 1.408 km, with four lanes.
