Ho Chi Minh City has been honored with an ASOCIO Digital Government Award 2023 within the framework of the ASOCIO Digital Summit held in Seoul, South Korea.

Granted by the Asian-Oceanian Computing Industry Organization (ASOCIO), the award is recognition of the city’s efforts in implementing digital strategies and solutions to significantly improve service quality to citizens and provide ethical and transparent government services.

The southern city was acknowledged for deploying smart technologies to effectively serve citizens in key areas, including transport, education, healthcare and social welfare.

It has exerted major effort in innovating methods for providing public services and utilities to people and businesses, contributing to the efficiency of the local administration. An information portal, an app, and a hotline, at 1022, have been set up to gather and respond to residents’ opinions and requests.

The ASOCIO 2023 Awards honored 52 units from nine countries and territories in eight categories: Outstanding Tech Company; Digital Transformation; Digital Government; EdTech; HealthTech; Cybersecurity; ESG; and Start-up.
