Seven apps have over 10 million subscribers each in Vietnam, including Zalo, Zing Mp3, Bao Moi, Vi Momo, MB Bank, VNEID, and My Viettel, according to the Ministry of Information and Communications.

There are eleven apps with 5-11 million subscribers.

As of April, the total number of downloads of mobile apps in Vietnam was 278 million, representing a year-on-year increase of 1.09 per cent.

Direct revenue from transactions on mobile app increased 9.82 per cent over the same period in 2022.

The proportion of the digital economy in GDP stands at 14.62 per cent.

The ministry said it will build a master plan on digital economic development for the central highlands in the third quarter of this year and hold the first national forum on digital economic development and the digital society.
