Spring trade fair opens in Hanoi

Over 100 businesses are showcasing products at the Spring Trade Fair that opened in Hanoi on January 18.

The nine-day event is being organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) as the Tet (Lunar New Year) holiday nears.

Products from 20 localities across the country are being displayed at 100 booths on over 800 sq m. Key commodities include agriculture, forestry and fisheries products, flowers, ornamental trees, handicrafts, and consumer goods.

The annual fair is aimed at helping businesses promote their products and brands and boosting the consumption of made-in-Vietnam products, according to Nguyen Minh Tien, Director of the Agricultural Trade Promotion Center at MARD.
