The Tien Giang Fruit Festival 2024 is scheduled to open in the Mekong Delta province of Tien Giang on June 10-12, introducing specialty fruits from the province, the Mekong Delta, and Vietnam as a whole.

The event will be co-organized by Tien Giang and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

It is also aimed at promoting a sustainable value chain for the fruit sector of Vietnam.

Apart from showcasing fresh fruits and processed fruits, the event will also feature many activities such as seminars on promoting the sales of fruits on e-commerce platforms and building a sustainable durian supply chain in the international market, and tours to orchards in Tien Giang.

Trade exchanges and promotion programs will be also held together with the introduction of technological solutions for green transition.

Tien Giang exported 11,000 tons of fruits in the first four months of 2024, earning nearly $21 million, a year-on-year rise of 82.1% in volume and 86.6% in value.
