Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his Lao and Cambodian counterparts Sonexay Siphandone and Samdech Techo Hun Sen agreed to foster cooperation to link the three economies at a meeting held on the sidelines of the Mekong River Commission (MRC) Summit in Laos on April 5.

They also pledged to support each other to build independent and self-reliant economies with intensive, extensive, substantive, and effective international integration.

They also agreed to facilitate cooperation in investment, trade, and business between their countries’ enterprises, encourage border trade, and share experience in law building and the effective management and use of official development assistance (ODA).

The leaders pointed to the need for the three countries to boost cooperation and experience sharing in information technology amid the complex and unpredictable developments of the global economy and the rapid development and impact of digital technology and social networks.
