Bac Ninh secures $2.8 bln in FDI in first six months
For the first time, Bac Ninh has implemented a “Green Lane” mechanism, prioritizing the processing of applications within 24 hours for key, high-impact projects.

Some 124 new foreign direct investment (FDI) projects, with total registered capital approaching $659 million, have been licensed in the northern province of Bác Ninh in the first six months of this year.
Additionally, the province approved capital adjustments for 79 existing projects, resulting in an increase of over $2 billion.
Compared to the same period in 2024, FDI inflows into the locality have grown 2.5 times.
These achievements stem from Bac Ninh's proactive investment promotion efforts, expanded international cooperation, and continuous improvements to the business environment.
At the beginning of 2025, authorities of the province conducted a working visit to China to explore advancements in the digital economy, digital technology, digital platforms, and data centers. The mission aimed to apply these insights to the province's development strategy and attract investment from Chinese enterprises. The province also hosted two investment registration certificate awarding ceremonies.
Further promoting innovation, the province organized the “Science, Technology, Innovation, and Digital Transformation – Bac Ninh’s Breakthrough and Development” forum, along with a meeting for private enterprises in the science and technology sector, where investment certificates were also issued.
For the first time, Bac Ninh has implemented a “Green Lane” mechanism, prioritizing the processing of applications within 24 hours for key, high-impact projects. This initiative allows for faster implementation and operation, reducing the processing time by up to 60% for related procedures, including construction permits, land and environmental approvals, fire safety clearance, and customs procedures.
