Disciplinary measures against former high-ranking leaders issued
They are former Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, former Head of the Central Commission for Mass Mobilization Truong Thi Mai, and former Standing Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh.
The Politburo on December 13 issued disciplinary measures against former Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, former Head of the Central Commission for Mass Mobilization Truong Thi Mai, and former Standing Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh, according to a report from the Government News.
The Politburo concluded that Nguyen Xuan Phuc while serving as Politburo member, Secretary of the Government Party Committee, and Prime Minister, violated the Party and State regulations in performing his assigned duties, and in fighting corruption and wrongdoings.
He also breached the regulations that a Party member is not allowed to do and those concerning the responsibility for setting an example, causing serious consequences and harming the reputation of the Party and State.
Nguyen Xuan Phuc was also a former State President, but he was blamed for his wrongdoings during the time he was serving as Politburo member, Secretary of the Government Party Committee, and Prime Minister, according to other sources.
According to a conclusion from the Politburo, Truong Thi Mai, while serving as Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, and Head of the Central Commission for Mass Mobilization, violated the Party and State regulations in executing assigned duties; violated the regulations on power control in personnel work and the regulations that a Party member is not allowed to do and those concerning the responsibility for setting an example, causing serious consequences and harming the reputation of the Party and State.
Meanwhile, Truong Hoa Binh, while serving as Politburo member, Deputy Secretary of the Government Party Committee, Standing Deputy Prime Minister, showed lack of responsibility in leadership; breached the Party and State regulations in performing assigned duties, in combating corruption and wrongdoings; violated the regulations that a Party member is not allowed to do and those concerning the responsibility for setting an example, causing serious consequences and harming the reputation of the Party and State, the Politburo concluded.
Based on the content, nature, extent, consequences and causes of the violations committed by the aforesaid individuals, the Politburo decided to issue warnings against Nguyen Xuan Phuc and Truong Hoa Binh, and a reprimand to Truong Thi Mai.
Last month, the Politburo had also decided to issue warnings against Vuong Dinh Hue, Politburo member, Secretary of the National Assembly Party Delegation and Chairman of the National Assembly.
Hue was found to have violated Party and State regulations in executing his duties, especially in anti-corruption efforts.
He also breached regulations that a Party member is not allowed to do and those concerning the responsibility for setting an example, causing serious consequences and harming the reputation of the Party and State.
