Domestic gold prices soar 5.13% month-on-month

Gold prices in Vietnam continued their upward trend on September 30, with SJC-branded gold bars sold for VND137.3 million ($5,181) per tael, marking a month-on-month increase of 5.13%.

The price rose  VND800,000 ($30) per tael from the previous day.

One tael is equivalent to 37.5 grams, or 1.2 ounces.

Gold rings were traded at VND133.4 million ($5,033) per tael, an increase of VND1 million ($37.7) per tael compared to the previous session and up 6.7% month-on-month.

On the global market, gold rose nearly 1% to $3,866 per tael. At this level, domestic prices remain about VND12.77 million ($481) per tael higher than international prices.
