Hai Phong gains impressive economic growth after implementing Politburo resolution
The resolution aimed to develop Hai Phong by 2030 with a vision to 2045.
Northern port Hai Phong city has gained impressive economic growth after five years implementing the Politburo Resolution No.45-NQ/TW on the construction and development of the city by 2030 with a vision to 2045, the local authorities has reported.
The city’s economy has been continuously expanded and maintained a two-digit growth for nine consecutive years.
The average GRDP growth in the 2018-2023 periods was 12.6%.
Particularly, Hai Phong has remained one among top localities in FDI attraction and has become an attractive destination for many global corporations. The city attracted $3.5 billion of FDI capital in 2023.
In the first six months of the year, the registered FDI capital stood at $1.55 billion.
Hai Phong is focusing on building a coastal economic zone in the south of the city, covering 20,000 ha. It will give priority to developing high-tech industry, ports, logistics and smart city.
