Hai Phong looks to welcome more Singaporean investors

Northern Hai Phong city hopes to cooperate with and access the experience of Singapore in the development of digital government, the digital economy, and the digital society, Secretary of the city’s Party Committee Le Tien Chau has said.

At a recent meeting with Ambassador of Singapore to Vietnam, H.E. Jaya Ratman, who led a delegation to the city in a bid to introduce more Singaporean investors, Mr. Chau said the city also expects to boost trade promotion and fields of interest for both sides, such as renewable energy and human resources training.

He also hopes that the Singaporean Ambassador can help connect Hai Phong with Singaporean businesses in those fields.

The two agreed to co-organize trade and investment promotion programs to attract more Singaporean investors and enterprises.

There are currently 858 FDI projects in Hai Phong, including 52 projects from Singaporean investors, with total capital of over $2.6 billion.
