Hanoi investing $53mln in expanding frontage road
Smaller road offering access to and from expressway to be widened.

Hanoi is carrying out a project to expand the frontage road to the east of the Phap Van - Cau Gie Expressway at an estimated cost of over VND1.26 trillion ($53 million), according to the Ministry of Transport.
The road, 19.14-km long, will be expanded with a roadbed 40 meters wide.
Investment will be mobilized from the city’s budget.
The project is scheduled for completion by 2025.
Once completed, the road will meet increasing demand among local people and increase links between the east and the west of the Phap Van - Cau Gie Expressway.
Hanoi plans to conduct 238 public investment projects this year, including 96 transport projects with total capital of VND7.52 trillion ($314 million), accounting for 53.1 per cent of its capital plan.
In the first half of this year it disbursed over VND15.9 trillion ($670 million) of public investment capital, equal to 33.9 per cent of the annual plan, figures from the municipal Department of Planning and Investment show.
