Lao Cai province calls for investment in five transport projects
Total investment capital for the northern mountainous province's projects estimated at over $786 million.
The Chairman of northern Lao Cai province has approved the list of five transport projects for investment attraction in 2024 with a combined capital of over VND20 trillion ($786 million).
They include Sa Pa airport, an expressway connecting Sa Pa airport and Sa Pa town, Dong Pho Moi inland port, Kim Thanh – Ban Vuoc inland port and an inland port for Sa Pa airport.
Sa Pa airport is one of the province’s key projects. It is designed to serve 1.5 million passengers per year in the first phase and 3 million in the second phase. Covering 371 ha in Bao Yen district, the project has an estimated investment capital of over VND6.9 trillion ($271 million).
The projected expressway connecting Sa Pa airport with Sa Pa town is 66 km long, with total investment capital estimated at VND13 trillion ($510 million). It will allow a maximum speed of 80 kph.
