PM meets with businesses to discuss difficulties
Online gathering seeks measures to identify and resolve issues facing business and production.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired an online conference on September 26 involving businesses and localities to identify solutions to help business get through Covid-19.
The conference focused on safe and flexible solutions for effective pandemic control.
In his opening remarks, the Prime Minister said the government has arranged meetings with both domestic and foreign enterprises to support them as much as possible.
On behalf of the Party and the State, he thanked the business community for accompanying the Party, State, and people in pandemic prevention and control and socio-economic development over the last nearly two years, and emphasized harmonizing benefits and sharing risks while calling for cooperation, understanding, and unity.
The government has issued many legal documents in recent times to support businesses, economic growth, and social development. Its pandemic prevention and control efforts have proven effective, especially in hotspots like Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Duong, Dong Nai, and Long An provinces.
Regarding the time to come, the Prime Minister said the government is directing the continued effective control over Covid-19, building draft laws, and amending and supplementing existing laws to remove difficulties facing production and business.
He also noted that both pandemic control and economic development are equally important. The conference cannot resolve all of the problems, he added, so those involved need to show initiative, creativity, and understanding to find a common voice and seek solutions.
