PM requests to tackle difficulties facing renewable energy projects

The move aiming to promoting renewable energy projects, contributing to mobilizing resources for the economy.

The Prime Minister has requested relevant ministries and localities to urgently take measures to tackle difficulties facing renewable energy projects.

Prime Ministerial Dispatch No. 118/CĐ-TTg, signed recently by Standing Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh,  urged for the implementation of the Government's Resolution No.233, issued on December 10, 2024, on measures to deal with difficulties and obstacles facing these projects.

Leaders of ministries, agencies, provinces, and the Vietnam Electricity (EVN) were required to urgently tackle difficulties within their areas of responsibility. Each relevant agency or locality was required to resolve issues promptly and will be held accountable to the Government and the Prime Minister.

They were  instructed to direct and handle issues and difficulties related to land procedures of related solar and wind power projects, identification of land for establishing farms and cultivation related to rooftop solar power projects  on agricultural and forestry land with large capacity, and the purchase price for rooftop solar power projects built on agricultural and forestry land.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Environment will coordinate with the Ministry of Industry and Trade and relevant localities to review and urgently resolve all outstanding issues related to overlapping planning of mineral reserve areas, irrigation planning, changing purposes of forest land and agricultural land.
