South Korea becomes the largest source of foreign tourists to Vietnam
Some 2.2 million Korean tourists visiting Vietnam in 1H.
The Republic of Korea surpassed China to become the largest sources of foreign tourists to Vietnam in the first six months of the year with 2.2 million visitors.
The figure accounts for 25.8% of the country’s total number of international tourists in the six-month period.
China ranked the second with 1.8 million, equivalent to 21.4% of the total.
Meanwhile, Vietnam is also the largest source of foreign tourists for South Korea in the Southeast Asian region with 420,000 visitors in the first half of 2024.
On the occasion of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's official visit to South Korean between June 30 - July 3, a tourism and culture promotion festival was held in South Korea from June 29 – July 3, offering a venue for businesses of the two countries to meet and boost cooperation. This is also an opportunity for the two countries to promote their land, people and tourism.
