SPX opens automated sorting center in Bac Ninh
On a vast area and with state-of-the-art equipment, the new sorting center in the northern province demonstrates SPX’s efforts to enhance logistics infrastructure and offer efficient and reliable services.
SPX, a reliable and cost-effective delivery service provider with a nationwide network of delivery centers in Vietnam’s 63 cities and provinces, recently held an opening ceremony for its state-of-the-art automated sorting center at the Vietnam Singapore Industrial Park (VSIP) in northern Bac Ninh province, covering a total area of some 100,000 sq m.
This is SPX’s largest and most modern sorting center in the region. It is predominantly automated, capable of handling up to 2.5 million parcels a day after completing its first phase of operations, and is expected to reach 5 million in the following phase, with an impressive accuracy rate of up to 99.97 per cent thanks to its cutting-edge processing system.
Furthermore, the application of state-of-the-art technology in core sorting areas has created a precise and swift goods sorting process, ensuring that goods are processed to the highest standards with the shortest transit times, which can help enhance the overall shopping experience and cater to the ever-increasing demand for online shopping.
The automatic sorting center will apply modern technologies, including an automated conveyor system for direct cargo transfer from trucks to sorting area; a matrix area equipped with a 6D camera for automatic 3D size measurement and weight assessment; a sorting area with an accuracy rate of up to 99.97 per cent thanks to its cutting-edge processing system; and optimized outbound processes, including a sensor system at the exit point.

The new sorting center enhances the speed and precision of cargo processing and sorting, with parcels processed and sorted quickly and accurately, thereby reducing order processing times, improving delivery speed, and enhancing operational efficiency.

The spacious stocking area at VSIP meets our storage and sorting needs.”
