HCMC to host Blockchain Summit in October
October 12-13 summit brings investors and startups together.
The Vietnam Blockchain Summit 2023 is scheduled to be held in Ho Chi Minh City on October 12-13, with a focus on the application of information technology to promote State management of blockchain activities and connect investors with startups.
The Summit accompanies the government, ministries, agencies, and enterprises in developing and promoting the application of blockchain technology in Vietnam to create a destination for investors and blockchain developers in the region and the world, the Organizing Board told a press briefing on May 18.
Organized by the Vietnam Software Association (VINASA) and the Vietnam Blockchain Association (VBA), the Summit is expected to draw 2,500 participants.
Connection and cooperation activities will be a spotlight, to confirm Vietnam’s attractiveness as a destination for investment in, the development of, and the application of blockchain technology, said Vice President of the VBA Phan Duc Trung.
Among new technologies affecting the world, blockchain is becoming more popular and is applied in almost all fields and sectors.
This year’s Summit will engage in four main activities: creating an ecosystem linking and fostering the transfer of technology; creating consultancy and support programs for startups in the field of technology; completing mechanisms and the legal framework for the blockchain industry; and expanding connections with multi-national organizations and communities.
