The “Saving Threatened Wildlife” project was launched on June 13, with a budget of $15 million from the US Agency for International Development (USAID) to help Vietnam control the illegal wildlife trade. On the same day, USAID and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) signed an agreement on cooperation to respond to climate change in the Mekong Delta in the 2022-2027 period, under which USAID will provide $50 million to help Vietnam reduce emissions in agriculture.
