Vietnam-Cambodia border gate opens in An Giang

The Vinh Xuong - Kaam Sammor international land waterway border gate between Vietnam and Cambodia was officially opened on February 23, located in the Mekong Delta province of An Giang in Vietnam and Kandal province in Cambodia.

It was created based on a merger of the Vinh Xuong international land border gate and the Vinh Xuong international waterway border gate.

The opening is a major foundation for Vietnam and Cambodia to conduct planning, attract investment, upgrade infrastructure, research appropriate mechanisms and policies, facilitate import and export activities, and boost cooperative ties and comprehensive development in the fields of investment, border economy, transportation, and tourism, among others.

People and businesses in the two countries are expected to benefit, contributing to promoting socio-economic development in the two provinces.
