Vietnam second in ASEAN in advertising revenue growth
Country posts year-on-year revenue growth of 12.7 per cent.
Advertising revenue in Vietnam rose 12.7 per cent year-on-year in 2022, ranking it second in ASEAN, according to Statista, an online platform specializing in market and consumer data.
Total revenue in the global advertising industry in 2022 was estimated at over $910 billion.
In ASEAN, Indonesia, Thailand, and Singapore continue to lead the bloc with turnover of $5.56 billion, $4.3 billion, and $2.5 billion, respectively.
In Vietnam, figures put advertising revenue last year at nearly $2.2 billion, ranking it fifth of the eleven ASEAN members.
However, it was second in terms of revenue growth, with 12.7 per cent, following Malaysia with 18.9 per cent. Singapore was third with 8.4 per cent, then Indonesia with 8.1 per cent and Thailand 3.9 per cent.
Speaking at a dialogue on innovation trends and digital transformation in communications and marketing in Vietnam on February 23, Chairman of the Vietnam Advertisement Association Nguyen Truong Son said the country’s advertising sector has recovered post-Covid-19.
