Vinh International Airport runway to be expanded
The upgrade will enable the airport to accommodate large aircrafts such as B787 and A350.

The Ministry of Construction has approved the investment policy of a project to expand the Vinh International Airport’s runway to make it capable of accommodating larger aircrafts.
As projected, the Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) will invest in upgrading the runway from 2,400m long to 3,000m long.
The upgrade will enable the airport to accommodate large aircrafts such as B787 and A350 and increase the airport’s capacity to 10 million passengers per year.
The ACV is currently implementing a project to upgrade the airport’s two taxiways and safety zones. This work will require a temporary closure of Vinh International Airport from July to December 31, 2025.
