Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has asked the investor and contractor of the Cao Lanh - An Huu Expressway in the Mekong Delta to speed up construction and be completed by December 2025.
Visiting the construction site on August 13 during a working trip to Dong Thap province, Prime Minister Chinh instructed the investor and contractor to take measures to ensure project quality and workplace safety and environmental hygiene.
The first phase of the expressway, which has a total length of 27.43 km, runs through Dong Thap and neighboring Tien Giang province.
Total investment stands at VND5.88 trillion ($247.47 million).
Earlier on the same day, the Prime Minister examined the construction site of a section of a project upgrading National Highway No. 30 in Dong Thap’s Cao Lanh city, which stretches 16.5 km and has investment of over VND912 billion ($38.3 million). It is expected to be completed next year.
He also visited a rice mill of the Vietnam Rice Company Limited (VINARICE) at the Truong Xuan Industrial Cluster in Thap Muoi district.
