Construction of the Ho Chi Minh City’s Ring Road No.4 section passing through southern Binh Duong province kicked off on June 18.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh.

The section is 47.8km and has 8 lanes, allowing a maximum speed of 100 kp/h, according to Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Vo Van Minh.

Total investment capital is estimated at VND11.743 trillion ($448 million).

The project will be implemented within 26 months under the form of Build - Operate - Transfer (BOT).

The Ring Road 4 project begins at Phu My Commune, Tan Thanh District, Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province, and ends at the North-South arterial road in the Hiep Phuoc Port area, Nha Be District, HCMC.

The route spans approximately 159.31 km, passing through HCMC (over 20 km) and the neighboring provinces of Ba Ria - Vung Tau (18 km), Dong Nai (46 km), and Long An (74.5 km), excluding the section running through Binh Duong.

The section through Binh Duong province is executed independently as a separate investment, under the investment policy approved by the Binh Duong Provincial People's Council.

Once fully operational, the section in Binh Duong will connect with the Ho Chi Minh City’s Ring Road No.3 and the HCM City – Thu Dau Mot – Chon Thanh Expressway, playing an important role in facilitating transport activities in the region.
