Over 150 businesses to showcase OCOP products at Vietnam Ocopex
Many OCOP products are undergoing innovation to enhance their quality and expand their reach into demanding, high-value export markets over the world.

The Vietnam OCOP Export Fair (Vietnam Ocopex 2025) will be held from August 1-3 at the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long, located at 19C Hoang Dieu Street, Hanoi, according to a report from the Vietnam News Agency.
Co-organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, the Hanoi People's Committee, and the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance, the fair aims to support OCOP-affiliated businesses, cooperatives, and entities in promoting their products, finding new partners, and expanding into both domestic and international markets.
OCOP stands for "One Commune, One Product", a program focused on developing the rural economy by promoting unique, high-quality products from each commune or village. It aims to boost local economies, enhance product quality, and preserve local culture and traditions.
The fair will feature approximately 300 booths from over 150 enterprises, showcasing a wide range of OCOP-certified products. Items on display will include tea, coffee, souvenirs, herbal and medicinal products, agarwood, essential oils, turmeric starch, ready-to-eat foods, dried food products, bird's nest, and beauty items such as shampoos, conditioners, and serums.
In recent years, the Vietnamese business community has increasingly embraced the OCOP standards. This has positively impacted rural economic development by fostering a shift from small-scale farming to value chain-linked production. This new approach emphasizes adherence to standards, quality control, traceability, and market-driven strategies. It has also unlocked the potential of local land, resources, and comparative advantages—especially regional cultural values—to create integrated OCOP products.
Furthermore, many OCOP products are undergoing innovation to enhance their quality and expand their reach into demanding, high-value export markets over the world.
According to a representative from the Ministry of Industry and Trade, by the end of 2024, the country had a total of 14,642 OCOP products rated 3-star or higher (an increase of 3,586 products compared to 2023). Among these, 79 were newly certified as national 5-star OCOP products, and nine others were re-certified.
