Proposed establishment of Sun PhuQuoc Airways approved
Its registered investment capital reaching $98.81 million.

Under a Prime Ministerial Decision, dated May 20, 2025, a project to establish Sun PhuQuoc Airways (SPA), proposed by Sun Group, one of Vietnam’s top real estate developers, has been approved.
The investor of the project is Sun PhuQuoc Aviation Company Limited, a subsidiary of Sun Group.
The SPA will operate 31 aircraft by 2030. Its registered investment capital stood at VND2.5 trillion ($98.81 million).
The project aims to establish a new airline primarily focused on commercial passenger transport, while also offering charter flight services for tourists travelling to major tourism and business destinations in Vietnam and worldwide, particularly renowned Phu Quoc Island's resorts and dynamic financial hubs.
In particular, SPA is envisioned with the mission of bringing international visitors to Phu Quoc Island.
SPA’s first flights are expected to launch in the fourth quarter of 2025, connecting Phu Quoc Island with key economic and tourist hubs, both domestical and international.
