Phuc Khang Corporation’s HCMC project wins award at Leading Real Estate Brands in 2021-2022 ceremony.
On the morning of March 15 at the ceremony for the Leading Real Estate Brands in 2021-2022, the Phuc Khang Corporation’s Diamond Lotus Riverside luxury apartment building won an award as a Top 5 best smart green building project in 2021.
The ceremony was held in conjunction with the second Spring Real Estate Forum, to identify professional real estate developers and quality products in the market.
It took place in Hanoi and was organized by the Vietnam Real Estate Electronic Magazine (Realtimes) and the Vietnam Real Estate Research Institute (VIRES), under the direction and patronage of the Vietnam Real Estate Association. Attending the program were leaders from the Vietnam Real Estate Association, the Advisory Council of VIRES, and Realtimes, as well as 30 leading experts in Vietnam, representatives from news agencies and press, and leaders and representatives of businesses being honored.
To achieve the award of Top 5 best smart green building project in 2021, the Diamond Lotus Riverside project underwent a round of voting from 500,000 readers on Realtimes.vn and direct, independent, and objective voting by the Council, including journalists following real estate construction and leading experts in economics, law, planning, architecture, construction, and real estate in Vietnam.

Located on Le Quang Kim Street in District 8, Ho Chi Minh City, the Diamond Lotus Riverside project is the first high-rise apartment complex developed by the Phuc Khang Mitsubishi Corporation Holding (a joint venture between Phuc Khang and the Mitsubishi Corporation from Japan) in Vietnam. The project has been developed under the standards of both LEED from the American Green Building Council (USGBC) and LOTUS from the Vietnam Green Building Council (VGBC), with it registered at the Gold level with two standards approved. At the end of 2021, Diamond Lotus Riverside received a provisional LOTUS Certificate from the VGBC, certifying that it is on the track to reach the Gold level at the full certification stage.
At the awards ceremony for the provisional LOTUS Certificate, Ms. Phan Thu Hang, VGBC President, confirmed that the green building has achieved three benefits in terms of Environment, Economy, and Society. “Firstly, the project has expressed a commitment to corporate social responsibility to the community and to the environment by reducing the company’s carbon footprint or environmental footprint,” she said. “Secondly, the project is made for the user, as green building standards especially applied by LOTUS green buildings are focused on providing suitable microclimate conditions and amenities regarding heat, light, and sound comfort for users, which makes users feel better about their living environment. Thirdly, the project is for green buildings themselves, as green building standards applied in LOTUS green buildings encourage the efficient use of energy. Using energy effectively and efficiently during the operations of a building not only reduces its carbon emissions but also reduces monthly electricity bills. This brings economic benefits to users.”
With the aim of making the Diamond Lotus Riverside project a “green symbol in the heart of the city” that provides a perfect living space and potentially makes space for prosperous lives for residents, the Phuc Khang Corporation has devoted its enthusiasm to the design, construction, and building to operations and technology transfer in the project, with the most outstanding element being creating a joint venture with the Mitsubishi Corporation - a leading corporation in Japan - to develop Diamond Lotus Riverside under strict green building standards by applying Japanese technology.
