Quang Binh and businesses discuss tourism development
Nearly 650,000 tourists visited the central province in Q1.
Authorities in central Quang Binh province have suggested that businesses and investors diversify tourism offerings to maximize the province’s potential and strengths.
At a recent meeting between provincial authorities and businesses and investors in tourism, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Tran Thang said it is also necessary to enhance links and information sharing between authorities and businesses.
He asked businesses to study and apply science and technology in tourism development, particularly in promoting digital transformation.
Business representatives, meanwhile, proposed that local authorities help tackle difficulties and challenges facing the sector and create the conditions needed for enterprises and investors to develop tourism infrastructure and hold cultural and sporting events to further boost the tourism industry.
In the first quarter of this year, Quang Binh welcomed nearly 650,000 visitors, a 4.5-fold increase over the same period last year. International visitors reached nearly 21,000.
