Quang Ninh withdraws logistics service area project
License revoked as the project is yet to be put into operation after being approved 20 years ago and is no longer suitable with planning.
The Quang Ninh Provincial People’s Committee has announced that it will officially withdraw an investment project building technical infrastructure at the Cai Lan Port logistics service area.
Per a document issued on August 18, it will revoke and cancel decisions and documents relating to the approved implementation of the project to build technical infrastructure for the Cai Lan Port logistics service area in Bai Chay ward, Ha Long city.
According to the People’s Committee, the project is being withdrawn because it is yet to be put into operation 20 years after its inception in 2003.
The project is no longer suitable with Provincial Planning for the 2021-2030 period and vision to 2030 approved by the Prime Minister.
Earlier, on August 8, 2023, the Ha Long City People’s Committee approved an adjustment to develop the Cai Lan Port logistics service area into a commercial center, to boost the city’s socio-economic development towards tourism services.
