Binh Dinh striving to become a sea-based economic center
South-central province holds a strategic coastal position.
South-central Binh Dinh province will strive to become a sea-based economic center in Vietnam and a center of manufacturing and processing, services, and tourism in the region by 2030 under its provincial master planning.
The planning was announced at a meeting held by local authorities on December 23, the Government News has reported.
It will open up opportunities and new development space for Binh Dinh and is expected to create new growth drivers for the province to make breakthroughs in socio-economic development.
The province will develop high-tech industry with a focus on the high-value manufacturing and processing industry; grow tourism into a spearhead economic sector; develop agriculture, forestry and fisheries based on high technology; improve seaport and logistics services; and rapidly and sustainably boost urban development.
Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai said that with its potential and advantages together with commitments from investors, Binh Dinh will see strong development in the time to come.
Binh Dinh is a coastal province that holds a strategic position near the central point of the North-South Expressway and railway line.
