Bac Kan to develop five socio-economic zones by 2030
Northern province to focus on boosting tourism development.
Northern Bac Kan province plans to develop five socio-economic development zones under its master planning in the 2021-2030 period and vision towards 2050, which has been approved by the government.
The zones will focus on developing modern and sustainable agriculture, mining, mineral processing, tourism, mechanics, industry, and services.
The master plan sets a target of developing Bac Kan into a locality with moderate and sustainable economic development. Its economy will be promoted in a green and dynamic manner with modern and comprehensive infrastructure.
Regarding tourism development, Ba Be district will be a growth pole, with Ba Be Lake as the nucleus. Diversified types of tourism will be promoted, including night-time tourism activities, to attract more visitors. Ba Be Lake will also be developed into a national tourism site with unique tourism products.
