HCMC begins construction of medical university’s 2nd campus
Total investment for the project is estimated at $101mln.

Ho Chi Minh City kicked off construction of a second campus at the Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine on February 17.
The project has total investment capital of VND2.4 trillion ($101 million), with construction expected to be completed by 2025.
Located in Tan Kien commune in Binh Chanh district, the campus covers 77.640 sq m.
The project is expected to help improve medical training capacity and quality, and provide medical human resources of international standard for the health sector in Ho Chi Minh City and the country, according to Vice Chairman of the city’s People’s Committee Duong Anh Duc.
Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine was established in 2008. It has eight faculties and offers ten majors, with a total enrollment of some 10,000 students.
