Corporate bond market improving
Total value of corporate bond trading this year stands at over $13.7 billion.
Deputy Minister of Finance Nguyen Duc Chi told a press briefing in Hanoi on November 4 that the total registered value of corporate bond trading this year, as of October 31, was nearly VND336.8 trillion (over $13.7 billion), including VND180.4 trillion (nearly $7.4 billion) from experimental privately-placed bonds
The total registered value comes from 451 bond codes issued by 114 companies.
In addition, the value of bond repurchases prior to maturity reached VND190.7 trillion (nearly $7.8 billion).
Out of the total registered and repurchase value, VND179.5 trillion (over $7.3 billion) was traded in the period from March 5, 2023, when Government Decree No. 08/2023/ND-CP regulating the private placement of corporate bonds in the domestic market came into force, to the end of October.
Deputy Minister Chi remarked that the corporate bond market and transactions have improved and are seeing solid growth.
