Ninh Binh earns nearly $40 mln in tourism revenue over Tet
The northern province welcomed numerous international tour groups from India, China, the UK, and France.
Ninh Binh province experienced a significant boost in tourism during the 9-day Tet (Lunar New Year) holiday 2025, with visitor numbers rising by 17% compared to the previous year.
The average room occupancy rate reached an impressive 80-85%, according to the province’s tourism industry report.
Tourism revenue during the holiday period is estimated at nearly VND1 trillion (over $39.7 million), marking a 20% increase from last year's Tet holiday.
The peak in visitor numbers reached over the last three days of the holiday, with February 2 (the 5th day of Tet) alone seeing an estimated 229,340 visitors, including 61,840 international tourists.
Among the northern province's most popular tourist destinations were: Bai Dinh Pagoda, Trang An Complex, Thung Nham, Hoa Lu Ancient Town, Tam Coc, Hoa Lu Ancient Capital, and Mua Cave.
In addition to domestic tourists, Ninh Binh also welcomed numerous international tour groups from India, China, the UK, and France, among others.
The positive trend in visitor numbers during the early days of the Lunar New Year is a promising sign for Ninh Binh's tourism industry. It is hoped that this momentum will contribute to achieving the goal of welcoming over 9.1 million visitors in 2025.
