A trade fair named “Tet Xanh – Qua Viet 2024” (Green Tet – Vietnamese Gifts) opened in Ho Chi Minh City on January 23 for consumers shopping for the Lunar New Year (Tet) Festival.

The 11th edition of the four-day event has attracted businesses from over 49 provinces and cities nationwide that are offering nearly 1,000 groups of products  such as frozen food, consumer goods, tea, coffee, honey, spices, vegetables, fruits, nuts, cosmetics, and beverages, among many others.

A majority of them are unique items made from local resources, OCOP (one commune one product) products, those with geographical indication, typical rural items, and Vietnamese high-quality goods.

The event is aimed at connecting agricultural producers with consumers and the market, and creating opportunities for local businesses to meet and exchange, according to Mrs Vu Kim Anh, Deputy Director of the Business Studies and Assistance Centre.
