Hanoi plans to organize the Capital Economic Forum 2023 in September, entitled “Improve the business and investment environment, accelerate businesses’ competitiveness 2023”, the Kinh te & Do thi (Economic & Urban Affairs) newspaper has reported.

The forum aims to analyze and assess administrative reform, the business and investment, and the competitiveness of local enterprises in the past.

Local authorities expect to hear of the difficulties and shortcomings facing the business community as well as their comments and recommendations on addressing these, helping authorities provide more effective and practical directions and further develop a favorable business and investment environment and enhance the competitiveness of businesses and facilitate their sustainability.

The Hanoi People’s Committee is looking to boost the capital’s Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) this year and in subsequent years.

Participants will include municipal People’s Committee leaders, heads of relevant departments and sectors, and some 70 representatives from businesses, associations, and unions, together with renowned speakers and economists.
