Exports of wooden products and non-wood forest products have seen rapid growth over recent years.

At a meeting on October 10 between Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Le Minh Hoan and Finnish Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Antti Kurvinen, who was visiting Vietnam, the former said Vietnam wants the Finnish Ministry to help with resources to develop information management systems for the forestry sector and to strengthen capacity in forest governance.
