Hai Phong has become the largest port logistics center in Vietnam’s north over the years, but upgrading to a national logistics center by 2025 and an international logistics center by 2030 will prove difficult. The city needs to promote the application of information technology and overcome a shortage of human resources.
Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh has approved the “Promoting the application of information technology in collecting information and forecasting the situation in the agricultural product market” scheme. The project aims to complete the construction of a centralized data center for the agricultural sector by 2025, applying AI, big data, and remote sensing technology to predict fluctuations.
Vietnam is currently developing a sufficiently strong cyber security platform able to respond to any challenge. Forty-nine per cent of organizations invest 5 per cent of their capital on information security, while 59 per cent plan to outsource security services.
Under the Ministry of Finance (MoF)’s public administration reform plan for the 2021-2025 period, it will strengthen the application of information technology and also work to improve the level of customer satisfaction over the handling of administrative procedures to at least 90 per cent.
