During a meeting with visiting State President Luong Cuong in Santiago de Chile on November 11, Chilean businesses expressed keen interest in collaborating with Vietnam in mining, banking, finance, information technology, and others.
While working with leaders from the Mekong Delta’s Ben Tre province on July 1, State President Nguyen Xuan Phuc said its economy is recovering and many signs of improvement can be seen, with gross regional domestic product (GRDP) increasing 4.18 per cent in the first half of 2022. He also pointed to a number of areas where the province needs to give priority in development, and added that it is necessary to turn tourism into a spearhead economic sector and effectively exploit the potential of the local marine economy.
“Vietnam always stands by APEC member economies, with a vision of an open, peaceful, dynamic, and resilient Asia-Pacific, for the well-being of all people and future generations,” State President Nguyen Xuan Phuc affirmed at the 28th APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting held online on November 12.
