The city’s Department of Industry and Trade believes the growth in the Index of Industrial Production demonstrates a clear recovery in the local economy.
Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh has approved the Strategy for the Development of Vietnam’s Chemical Industry to 2030 and Vision to 2040. By 2030, growth in the chemical industry is to average 10-11 per cent a year and the proportion of the chemical industry in all of industry is to reach 4-5 per cent. The strategy prioritizes the development of key sub-sectors and at the same time forms large-scale chemical complexes in order to build a complete chemical industry to meet domestic and export demand.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) has submitted a report to the government on the development strategy for Vietnam’s chemical industry to 2030 and vision to 2040. By 2040, the industry will have a greater role in the global value chain.
