The governments of Vietnam and Norway and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) will hold the International Conference on a Sustainable Ocean Economy and Climate Change Adaptation, “Solutions for a Climate Resilient Blue Economy”, on May 12 and 13 in Hanoi. Participants will discuss means of promoting the sustainable use of ocean resources and the challenges posed by Covid-19, climate change, and environmental pollution, and will identify opportunities to accelerate practical actions that protect ocean ecosystems for economic development.
The “Vietnam National Circular Economy Network” announced on October 6 by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in cooperation with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MoNRE) will give Vietnam the opportunity to promote a sustainable economy, reduce environmental pollution, help businesses take shortcuts, and contribute to bringing Vietnam out of the middle-income trap.
