Ho Chi Minh City targets developing logistics into a spearhead service industry, with revenue growth to reach 15 per cent by 2025 and 20 per cent by 2030. The industry’s contribution to gross regional domestic product (GRDP) will reach 10 per cent by 2025 and 12 per cent by 2030. Under the project on developing the city’s logistics industry by 2025 and vision to 2030, it will have seven logistics centers.
The Mekong Delta’s Long An province is planning to set up six logistics centers in order to meet export and import needs and improve the competitiveness of local businesses. Two centers are already in operation, in Thanh Phu commune, Ben Luc district, and at the Long An International Port in Can Giuoc district.
