Government calls for reasonable tightening of real estate credit
Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh has signed Directive No. 13/CT-TTg dated August 29, 2022 on a number of solutions to promote the safe and sustainable development of the real estate market. While requesting that real estate credit not be unreasonably tightened, the government also directed management agencies to strengthen supervision over lending.

Deputy PM asks Hanoi to speed up public investment disbursement
As of August 22, Hanoi had disbursed only 27.1 per cent of the public investment capital set aside in the annual plan, or lower than the national average. At a meeting with city leaders on August 26, Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh asked that an additional 9 per cent of the annual plan be disbursed by December 31.

Seafood exports to reach $12bln a year by 2030
The “National Program for Aquaculture Development in the 2021-2030 period”, which has been signed and promulgated by Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh, sets ambitious goals. By 2030, total aquaculture production is to reach 7 million tons a year, while annual export turnover will be $12 billion a year and annual growth in aquaculture value over 4.5 per cent.

Council established to appraise national master plan
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed a decision on August 10 establishing an Appraisal Council for the National Master Plan for the 2021-2030 period and vision to 2050, headed by Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh and with the Ministry of Planning and Investment as the standing agency.

No exchange of environment for economy
At the 5th National Environment Conference, held by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment on August 4, Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh emphasized that having a green economy, a circular economy, and a low carbon economy is the best way to ensure sustainable economic development, and that the environment would not be sacrificed for growth.

Hoa Binh industrial park project approved
Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh has approved a plan to develop the Binh Phu Industrial Park in Mong Hoa commune, Hoa Binh city, northern Hoa Binh province. The project is on more than 214 ha.

Appraisal Council of National Marine Spatial Planning established
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has signed Decision No. 788/QD-TTg dated June 29, 2022 establishing the Appraisal Council of National Marine Spatial Planning for the 2021-2030 period and vision to 2045. The Chairman is Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh. Its task is to advise and assist the government and the Prime Minister on performing assigned tasks in accordance with the Law on Planning related to the appraisal of the national marine spatial plan.

Deputy PM approves chemical industry development stategy
Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh has approved the Strategy for the Development of Vietnam’s Chemical Industry to 2030 and Vision to 2040. By 2030, growth in the chemical industry is to average 10-11 per cent a year and the proportion of the chemical industry in all of industry is to reach 4-5 per cent. The strategy prioritizes the development of key sub-sectors and at the same time forms large-scale chemical complexes in order to build a complete chemical industry to meet domestic and export demand.
