At a meeting on October 4, the PM called on enterprises to innovate traditional growth engines, harness new drivers, and engage in emerging global trends and sectors.
Within the framework of the “Vietnam Excellent Brand Awards 2022” held by VnEconomy / Vietnam Economic Times, Dr. Vu Tien Loc, Chairman of the Vietnam International Arbitration Center (VIAC), said Vietnam needs to consider its business community as a pioneer in efforts to escape the “middle-income trap”. To build a leading business community, Vietnam cannot just promote a few enterprises and instead needs to nurture a generation of entrepreneurs.
The Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) held a ceremony on October 12 to celebrate Vietnam Entrepreneurs Day (October 13) and honor outstanding local entrepreneurs. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh told the gathering that the government will create favorable conditions for entrepreneurs and businesses in all economic sectors to gain equal access to development resources. The non-State economic sector will be given favorable conditions to participate in the implementation of projects and works via public-private partnerships (PPPs).
To improve the competitiveness of female entrepreneurs in cross-border e-commerce activities, the Ministry of Planning and Investment is cooperating with US partners to help them access assistance in finance and electronic payments, logistics, and customs.
On the occasion of Vietnam Entrepreneurs Day on October 13, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh sent an open letter to businesses around the country. The letter stated that the Vietnamese Government and relevant agencies will step up institutional reform, remove difficulties and obstacles, mobilize resources, and reform administrative procedures, among other measures, to create an open and equal business environment for business development and international integration for entrepreneurs.
On the occasion of Vietnam Entrepreneurs’ Day on October 13, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue heard recommendations from representatives of the business community on solutions to help businesses recover production and business following Covid-19.
